About Tally Counter App

Why We Built It
Most digital counters are either dedicated mobile apps requiring an install or paid SaaS tools with monthly fees. Mechanical hand clickers cost $5-30 and only count one thing. Paper tally sheets get lost, smudged, or recounted incorrectly.
We saw an opportunity for a free, no-install, multi-counter alternative that works on any device with a web browser. The result is Tally Counter App — a tool that supports unlimited labeled counters, three view modes (Dual, Grid, List), dark mode, full-screen focus mode, offline functionality, optional cloud sync, undo, keyboard shortcuts, and sound or vibration feedback.

Privacy-First Philosophy
Your counter data is yours. By default, all counts are stored in your browser's local storage — never transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly opt in to cloud sync via a free account.
We use Google Analytics for anonymized aggregate usage statistics (page views, device types) — no individual counter data, no personally identifiable information. Read the full Privacy Policy for details.
For optional cloud sync, your counter labels and values are stored encrypted on our servers. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing the address in our Contact page.
How We're Different
- Free forever, with no usage cap. Most competitors limit free users to 3-5 counters or 30 days of use. We don't.
- No signup required. Open the page, start counting. Account creation is optional and only needed for cross-device sync.
